Longframlington's Village Inn hit bullseye with West Coquet Cup darts win
The Village Inn, Longframlington lifted the West Coquetdale League Darts Cup.
They beat Rothbury Golf Club A 5-2 in the final to take the trophy.
Golf Club skipper Ben Proudlock said: “Congratulations to the Village Inn on the cup win, well deserved on the night, they are a good team and we have had close encounters with them in the league this season.”
Proudlock is keen for the competition to build on the success that the popular Darts League has enjoyed this season as it has made a return under Graham Bridgett and Will McClure, and is already gearing up for the upcoming knock-out competitions.
“I am hugely disappointed we haven’t managed to get silverware for the golf club after being pipped at both competitions but I am looking forward to next season already and the league singles/pairs knockouts in a few weeks to look to get our revenge.”
